Alex Gurvich, Ph.D.

Alex Gurvich, Ph.D. is Director of Alternatives Research and Private Markets for the firm’s Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) product, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He leads a team responsible for evaluating and researching alternative investment strategies, including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and other private market solutions. His team supports portfolio construction, manager selection, and ongoing oversight of alternative investments used in OCIO portfolios.

Alex has more than 30 years of financial industry experience and joined the firm in 2018. He earned a B.A. in Physics from the University of Chicago, an MBA from INSEAD, an M.S. in Financial Engineering from NYU Polytechnic Institute, and a Ph.D. in Financial Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
